Keyboard shortcuts (beginner level)

We give you a few keyboard shortcuts, that require just the use of keyboard. They will not only save you time reaching for the mouse, but will also make you look like a good computer specialist. The shortcuts are different for the different operating systems. We give you some for Windows and Mac OS X.

Ctrl + C => Copy

Ctrl + A => Select all

Ctrl + X => Cut

Ctrl + V=> Paste

Alt + Tab => Shift between open windows

Ctrl + S => Save file

F2 => Rename file

Fn + Prt Sc => Save/Copy the screen in an image – printscreen (depends on the computer)

Browsing

Ctrl + T => New tab

Ctrl + Tab => Shift between open tabs 

Ctrl + Shift + T => Opens the last closed tab

Ctrl + N => New window

Ctrl + Shift + N => New incognito window (Chrome)

Ctrl + Shift + P => New incognito window (Firefox)

F5 => Refresh

Cmd + C => Copy
